The Promomed Group’s program for schoolchildren and students was launched: “Biokhimik: a look from the inside at modern pharma industry”

Promomed 30 August 2021

On the eve of the beginning of the school year, the Biokhimik plant (part of the Promomed Group) welcomed visitors, schoolchildren, at the workshops. The participants of the first excursion followed the route “TransPHARMAtion. The Path of a Molecule”, which opened the industrial tourism program of the Promomed Group – “Biokhimik: a look from the inside at modern pharma industry.”
The company was one of the first in the region who declared its interest to show the secrets of modern production to teenagers and young people who are considering their careers in pharmaceutical industry, and supported the initiative of the Government of the Republic of Mordovia to develop industrial tourism in the region. The program, which includes a package of thematic excursions, was developed for high school students and students of relevant specialties; it contains information, with interactive elements, about the history and the today’s life of the enterprise, as well as visits to existing production sites and laboratories.
The company employees” children were the first who tested the industrial tourism route – the company is proud of its dynasties and welcomes their new members.
In September 2021, two more excursions are planned for schoolchildren who study relevant disciplines in-depth. The route “TransPHARMAtion. The Path of a Molecule” gives an opportunity to look at the work of the enterprise from the inside. In real time and at the real production area, the participants of the excursion witness the birth of a medicine from a molecule to a finished form.
At each point on the route, young guests are greeted by the staff, who show how everything really happens and talk about their work.
“We have a lot to be proud of, and we decided to show young people the plant as it really is,” says Dmitry Zemskov, the Executive Director of the Biokhimik JSC. “If we want our production to be popular and the work at the Biokhimik to be trendy, we need to be honest and open, in the truest sense of the word. After visiting us, young people will be able to knowingly decide on their choice of profession. For Biokhimik, this is a good chance to find contact with future employees.”
